Lowe's is committed to providing the education, tools, services, and products needed for consumers to make their homes more efficient so they can save both energy and money. The Solar Decathlon is a prime example of how whole-home energy efficiency can be achieved aesthetically and affordably.

Lowe's contributed volunteers from its stores and nonprofit partnerships, hosted the consumer workshop series, and supported national media outreach efforts. In addition, the company actively supported the decathletes during the assembly period with resources such as Kobalt construction tools, supplies, and staff expertise.
