The University of California, Davis' Aggie Sol house seventh overall at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2015. The team tied for first in the Affordability Contest and placed third in Energy Balance.

Aggie Sol was located near Irvine, California, with plans to be permanently located on the UC Davis campus, where it would be monitored for performance and serve as a long-term case study. In early 2018, it was put up for sale. "Not only is it beautiful but it also comes furnished and has solar power," a UC Davis email newsletter said. "Asking price is $100,000.00. Available for public purchase now."
