Plan Your Visit

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2017 takes place October 5–9 and 12–15, 2017, in Denver, Colorado at the 61st & Peña Station on the University of Colorado A line commuter rail connecting Denver International Airport to downtown Union Station.

Open to the public free of charge during select public exhibit hours, the Solar Decathlon invites visitors to tour the team houses to gather ideas to use in their own homes. Consumers can learn just how easy it is and how good it feels to save energy, water, and money by making smart, sustainable choices.

Solar Decathlon 2017 also features a sustainability expo and professional, consumer, and middle school education events. For more information, explore the links below.

As much as we love our canine friends and family, and are big supporters of the Barkitecture Dog House Competition, please be aware that only service dogs are permitted in the Solar Decathlon village.
