2019 Design Challenge Results

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon^® Design Challenge Weekend had 45 teams, representing 37 collegiate institutions, across the United States and other countries. The event was held on April 12–14, 2019, at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado.

First place: United States Military Academy at West Point (West Point, New York)

Urban Single-Family Housing Division

Attached Housing Division

First place: Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Blacksburg, Virginia)

Mixed-Use Multifamily Housing Division

Solar Decathlon Film Fest
