Video of time-lapse images taken over a 22-day period. All images are taken from the middle of the National Mall facing east toward the U.S. Capitol, which is visible in the background. In the early images, the Mall is nearly empty. As time progresses, construction begins and then intensifies. After the houses are complete, visitors come to Mall and stroll the walkways between the houses. Soon, deconstruction begins, and the houses are quickly disassembled and hauled away. In the final images, the Mall is once again nearly empty.
