Highlights from Solar Decathlon 2013

In October 2013, 19 teams from colleges and universities in the United States, Austria, Canada, and the Czech Republic competed in the sixth U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon to design, build, and operate the most attractive and energy-efficient solar-powered house. On Oct. 12, after the closest competition ever, Team Austria: Vienna University of Technology was declared victorious. Close behind were the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Czech Republic: Czech Technical University.
