News Flash: All Houses Have Arrived!

News Flash: All 20 Solar Decathlon houses are now present and accounted for! Santa Clara University's house finally arrived late Friday at about 9 p.m. As their truck rumbled onto the National Mall, the team cheered and hugged each other. What a relief! The saga of a broken truck axle in Nebraska was over and the house has now been safely delivered to its destination. The team worked through the night, and by 3 a.m. Saturday morning the house was securely resting on the Mall.

At the 9 a.m. meeting Saturday morning, all of the other teams cheered at the news and offered help to the exhaustedbut happySanta Clara team members who had worked all night. The offer of help was gratefully acknowledged, but this proud team said they were confident they would catch up and be ready for the competition.
