Solar Decathlon 2013

Team Alberta: University of Calgary

The University of Calgary’s Borealis House placed ninth overall at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2013. The team tied for first in the Hot Water Contest.

After Solar Decathlon 2013, Borealis House was returned to Mount Royal University, where it was stored completely untouched. An auction was held by the university in 2015, and the home was sold to the highest bidder. The house is now a private residence in the Province of Alberta.
