State University of New York at Alfred College of Technology and Alfred University's Alf House placed 11th overall at the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2015. The team earned third place in the Affordability and Comfort Zone contests.
Following the competition, the Alf House was sold to a family in Los Angeles who will use it for a private vacation home.
