Solar Decathlon India
Launched in 2020, Solar Decathlon India is an annual competition for post-graduate and undergraduate students from Indian institutions to develop net-zero solutions. The event focuses on empowering the next generation to combat climate change in the buildings sector.
Modeled after the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon®, this competition focuses on performance-based design, and students will be given access to building-performance simulation software. During the competition, teams are also encouraged to partner with real estate developers and the other industry organizations.
Teams will compete in one of four divisions during the 2020-2021 Solar Decathlon India.

The Solar Decathlon India is supported by the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) and the Alliance for an Energy Efficiency Economy (AEEE) under the aegis of the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
